What is a container mast?

The container mast, also known as the fully free mast, can be used in containers. When the fork frame is lifted to the top of the inner mast, the inner mast is lifted at the same time as the fork frame, which is called a fully free lifting mast.

Difference from ordinary mast to full free mast

During the lifting process of ordinary forklift mast, the fork and the inner mast are usually lifted synchronously, or the fork is lifted for a distance first, and then the inner mast is lifted together, but the lifting speed of the inner mast is generally half of that of the fork. When the fully free mast starts to lift, only the fork is lifted, and the inner mast can only be driven to rise after the piston rod hits the inner mast, realizing the free lifting of the fork within a certain height, and the inner mast will not rise in advance.

Free lifting height:

The free lifting height of ordinary mast is usually low, generally only about 300 mm. The free lifting height of the full-free mast can be designed to be higher according to actual needs, and some can even reach several meters, which enables the forklift to operate the goods more flexibly in a limited space. For example, in a low warehouse or container, the fork can be raised to a higher position to fork or place the goods without lifting the inner mast.

Application scenario:
Ordinary mast is suitable for most conventional cargo handling scenarios, and places where the height requirements of the working space are not strict. The full-free mast is mainly used in places with limited space, such as cabins, inside containers, and some low warehouses. In these places, ordinary mast may be limited by space due to the premature rise of the inner mast, and the goods cannot be lifted to a sufficient height. The full-free mast can avoid this problem and improve the operation ability of the forklift in special environments.
